The Russia Temple is an announced temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[2]

History[edit]

The intent to construct a temple in Russia was announced by church president Russell M. Nelson on April 1, 2018. The temple was announced concurrently with 6 other temples.[3] At the time, the total number of operating or announced temples was 189.[4] No information has been provided on the temple's location, which would also identify an actual name, or construction plans.

This will be the first temple in Russia and the 15th in Europe.[5]
