Ryan Ip Man Ki (Chinese: 葉文祺) is a chartered surveyor and the Head of Land and Housing Research at Our Hong Kong Foundation.[1] He is also a member of the Land and Development Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Government.[2] He was named the Young Surveyor of the Year by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors at its Hong Kong Awards 2020.[3]
Ip graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with first class honours. He then received a Master of Science in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.[4] He joined Our Hong Kong Foundation in January 2017 and is now the Head of Land and Housing Research of the Foundation. Before joining Our Hong Kong Foundation, he was an economist at Hong Kong Monetary Authority and a property analyst at Jones Lang Lasalle.[5] He is also a member of the Executive Commiitee of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong and International Chapters,[6] and the International Advisory Committee of the Research Institute for Land and Space at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Ip is a frequent commentator of Hong Kong's real estate market at local and international media. He was invited as guests at various television and radio programmes including TVB's Closer Look at Property, Finance Magazine, Pearl Magazine;[7] Hong Kong Cable Television's Property Outlook, Topics in Focus;[8] Now TV's News Magazine;[9] and RTHK's Pentaprism,[10] The Pulse,[11] Backchat,[12] Money Talk,[13] etc.
