Sékou Machel Clarke (born October 7, 1983) is a Jamaican‑American lawyer and author living in Orlando, Florida. He is the founder and managing partner of the Sekou Clarke Law Group, with its main office located in Orlando.
Early life and career[edit]
Clarke was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica, on October 7, 1983.
Clarke came to the United States on an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida in 2002. Clarke was a 200 and 400 Meter specialist where he earned 10 All-American honors in relays and 400 meters and two national titles in 4x100 and 4x400 relay along with teammates Reggie Witherspoon, Kerron Clement and Stefan Pastor.[1]
Clarke retired from professional track and field in 2012, whereupon he began to pursue his legal career, obtaining a JD from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2016.[2][3][4]
