History[edit]

Jack Cohen founded the store in 1970. The name of the store came from his children's names. His Children's names are Sherry, Stacey, Wendy James Randall Cohen.[1] There were seven store locations at one time, and now there are three locations. The three locations which remain are Shadyside, and Squirrel Hill, and Downtown Pittsburgh. The store has 30,000 different items and revenue of $2.5 million.[2][3]

The company has 25 employees in its three store locations. The stores sell old fashioned toys: wagons, dollhouses, rocking horses, etc.[1] The store has distiniguished itself from the discount toy stores by selling traditional, classic items that people from older generations might have owned as children.[4]
