Sebastian Andres (born 2001) professionally known as Sabynyc or Saby, is an American musician, record producer and DJ from Astoria, New York. His most known singles are his remixes of "Kill em' with kindness" Featuring Selena Gomez, and "Split" by Tiesto. His remix of "Kill em' with kindness" was ranked Top 20 in the Spinnin' Records Charts[1][2] and Top 100 in the USA iTunes charts in 2018 and led to the start of his musical career as a record producer and DJ.
Early Life[edit]
Andres was born in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, New York City[3] with a Romanian backround. At the age of 13, Contreras began attending a bilingual school overseas. He eventually moved back to his hometown in New York City where he began attending Bayside High School[4] in Queens, New York city. He began exploring his love for music when Martin Garrix's breakthrough hit single "Animals" was released in late 2013 and ignited his pursue of music. From there on he began experimenting with different instruments and began the start of his EDM career when he purchased FL Studio in 2017 while travelling abroad in Europe. His inspiration for producing EDM grew when he started attending international festivals and venues such as the UNTOLD music festival[5],[6] in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Neversea, and Clubs [7] in Europe and New York City
Musical Career[edit]
His musical career started with experiments of different genres, musical styles, and unreleased remixes until his first official release in early August 2018 with his remix of Tiesto's single, "Split (Only U)" [8] in commemoration of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He later proceeded to release his second official remix of Selena Gomez's "Kill em' with kindness" in December 2018 which debuted on the Spinnin' Records Top 20 charts, iTunes USA Top 100 Dance Music Charts,[9] and several Spotify editorial playlists. Though, taking a brief pause in his aptitude of musical production to focus more on the Electronic DJ scene, He released his first solo single "Resent" on December 5th, 2019, alongside with rumors speculating across his following on social media of an upcoming album that may be in the works. In Addition to his latest release, Andres actualized his personal Spotify playlist, "Lush Tempora" that consists of Andres' top 50 tracks that have been submitted and approved by different artists of all genres.[10]
