The SG Greviria is a colour-bearing high school section of the Swiss Student's Society (abbreviation: SSS) from Bulle (Fribourg), newly refounded in 2020. It is affiliated with the College of the South.

Purpose[edit]
The SG Greviria is an association within the meaning of Art. 60 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code with seat in Bulle. It cultivates friendship among its members. Building on the foundations of Christianity, it wants to contribute to the shaping of state and society in knowledge of its own history and in responsibility for the heritage of Christian values.[2]
History[edit]
First and Second Foundation ff the SG Greviria[edit]
Prior to 2020, little information is known. Greviria was first founded in Bulle in 1989, and deactivated about ten years later. It was re-established in the early 2000s and deactivated again a few years later, before 2005. Only two alumni of the first Greviria are known at the moment, but investigations by the society are underway.
Third Foundation of the SG Greviria[edit]
In 2020, Dylan Bonnet v/o Sartor was introduced to the student fraternities by Adrien Passaquay v/o Torkel (from Neu-Romania, at the time a member of the Central Committee), who was acting as a substitute for his Greek course. Bonnet then re-founded the Greviria with the help of Passaquay and Marie-Bertrande Duay v/o Bonemine (also a Central Committee member at the time). Shortly afterwards, he was able to rally several classmates and friends around him. On 4 December 2020, the statutes were approved and Bonnet became the first president at the inaugural Kneipe on the 18th of December 2020 [3]. The society gradually gained recognition and members[4], and the first alumni joined the old Greviria during summer 2022.

Characteristics of the Comment and Statutes[edit]
- The secretary sits at the right of the presidium during the Kneipe instead of the Fuchsmajor.
- The society allows three different student caps: mainly the Tellermütze, with the option of a Stürmer for men, and the Tönnchen for extralocals and the chaplain.[7]
- Entry into the society is by signature in the president's cap instead of the traditional beer mat.
