SHINE: Support and Help IN Education, also known as SHINE Trust, is a charity based in Leeds, England. SHINE supports educational projects that work primarily with disadvantaged children and young people (4 to 18 years) in the North East England, North West England and Yorkshire and the Humber regions.[1]

SHINE was founded in 1999 by a group of philanthropists, including economist Jim O'Neill, Baron O'Neill of Gatley.[2] For the first 18 years, SHINE focused most of its funding and support in areas of deprivation in London.[3] In 2017, SHINE took the decision to leave London. It moved to Leeds and refocused on Northern England.[4] [5]
