SHRDZM is a free and open source DIY (do-it yourself) software platform allowing integration of several sensor types.
It runs on ESP8266[2][circular reference] Wi-Fi based MCU (microcontroller unit) platforms for IoT[3][circular reference] from Espressif Systems.
SHRDZM uses the Arduino Core for ESP8266 framework and a number of 3rd party libraries.
Wiring diagrams, source code, working examples as well as plug-ins for most commonly used home automation solutions are part of the project.
The project is mainly created to build cheap integrations of many kinds of sensors to integrate them in individual automation solutions with the focus on energy efficiency (battery operated devices) and simplicity.
