SK Basheed (born 14 August 1985) is an Indian film director, producer and actor and is also founder of SBK Films Corporation[4]. He is associated with films like Allare Allari[5], Benki Birugali[6][7], Ramdev(2010), Fire(2014) and Notuku Potu[8]under various credits.
Early life[edit]
Basheed was born to screenwriters Ibriham and Azimunnisa in Vejandala village, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He has an elder brothers, Shaik Sattar and Shaik Subhani and one elder sister Shaik Nano. Basheed was influenced by film industry at very young age.
He did his schooling in Urdu high school in Mumbai and graduated in Commerce from AC Collage, Andhra Pradesh. Basheed worked as an apprentice in cinematography and direction with various film makers, and before setting his foot as a director and producer he assisted Somarasimha Reddy for B.Gopal (2006).
Career[edit]
Basheed made his writing and directorial debut at the age of 22 with the critically acclaimed film Allare Allari(2007) which starred Allari Naresh, Which was also produced by him. SBK Films later produced films like Satyamev Jayetay[9] in 2008, Chandramukhi in 2009.
In 2010, He appeared in a special cameo for a song in film Ramdev In 2012, He was very keen on working with actress Rishika Singh, for film titled Yaadre Nanagenua, and the film landed into controversies[10] due to bold posters[11][12][13] In 2013, Basheed directed, produced and also starred in Benki Birugali[14][15] which is a Kannada film which also marked his debut in Sandalwood, the film also starred Richard Rishi, Namitha and Sandhya among other popular actors.
Controversies[edit]
In 2007, Basheed got into controversy with actor Sundeep Kishan[16] over a movie titled Project Z[17][18][19]
