Daniel Fernandez, known professionally as STARX, is a DJ and Producer from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico. Having played at music festivals such as Wasteland Mexico and Wasteland SoCal presented by Insomniac Events, he has gained recognition for his performances. STARX usually plays Psytrance and Hardstyle at his live performances.
CAREER
STARX released his debut single in 2016 titled "Zodiac" in collaboration with Junkie Kid and vocals from Tara Louise. "Zodiac" was released on the record label of Harsh Records on Junkie Kid's "Seven Days" EP. Later on in 2016, STARX produced "Hard Psy"[1] and soon later, released the track on Harsh Records. The name suggests a mix of genres between Psytrance and Hardstyle. In 2017, STARX has produced a number of records releasing on Harsh Records which were "Okay"[2], Hard Psy Generation" and "Anarchy". Insomniac Events hosted the first Wasteland Mexico[3] event which they booked STARX as one of the headliners. STARX released "Reality" on Harsh Records in early 2018. During this time, he signed his first major single to Dharma Worldwide, an imprint to Spinnin' Records, this track is called "Moksha"[4] in collaboration and released on May 11th 2018. Insomniac Records[5] imprint, Basscon Records signed "WorldWide" and released on Wasteland SoCal compilation in July 2018 and STARX was one of the headliners for Wasteland SoCal[6] in Los Angeles, USA.
