STEMUP Educational Foundation is a non-profit organisation located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It runs entirely on a volunteer basis.[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6][7]

Programs[edit]

Micro:bit Sri Lanka User Group[edit]

Micro:bit Sri Lanka User Group brings IoT education to Students who are living in rural areas in Sri Lanka.[8].[9][10][11][11]

CoderDojo Sri Lanka[edit]

CoderDojo Sri Lanka is the Sri Lankan network of CoderDojo – an international open source social education movement oriented around the running of fun, free and social coding clubs for young people aged 10–17.[12][13] [14] [15]

Machine Learning for Kids (Sinhala:පොඩ්ඩන්ට Machine Learning)[edit]

Machine Learning for Kids program is encouraging kids to learn Machine Learning and AI at their early ages.[16] [17]

Hack:AI[edit]

Hack:AI is an annual inter school and university hackathon organized by STEMUP Educational Foundation in partnership with UNDP, Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies.[18] [19] [20] [21]

Day of Code Sri Lanka[edit]

Day of Code is an annual event organised by STEMUP Educational Foundation in partnership with Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka and Code.org to celebrate the Computer Science Education Week in Sri Lanka.[22]

STEMUP Educational Foundation has won 03 awards at Sri Lanka Telecom Zero One Awards 2018/2019 Ceremony. (Overall Winner - Best Community Enablement Programme CoderDojo Sri Lanka, Winner in the Information Sector under best community empowerment programme - CoderDojo Sri Lanka, 1st Runner-up in the Government Institutes and NGOs under best community empowerment programme - Micro:bit Sri Lanka)[23] [24]
