Studds Accessories is an Indian company that designs and manufactures motorcycle helmets and accessories.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

History

Studds was started in 1975 by Madhu Bhushan Khurana.[9][10][11] In 1983, the company was incorporated as Studds Accessories Limited and started its official operations.[12][13] By 2020, Studds became the largest selling two-wheeler helmet brand in India by volume and was exporting products to 50 countries.[14][15][16] Studds has four manufacturing facilities.[17][18][19][20] [21][22][23] The company has an in-house Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) production line spread over an area of 1.5 acres.[24][25][26] As of 2020, the company has 25% market share in the Indian helmet and accessories market.[27][28][29][30][31]

Studds also manufactures two-wheeler lifestyle accessories such as luggage, gloves, helmet security guards, rain suits and eyewear.[32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40]

Funding

Studds Accessories Limited has raised a total of $1 billion in a single private equity funding round in 2018.[41][42][43][44]
