SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bengaluru Campus is a leading private business school located in Bangalore, India. Setup by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) in November 2008. It offers full-time Post Graduate and Undergraduate programmes as well as Executive training programmes. The Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Management (PGDM), a two-year, full-time programme is Narsee Monjee’s flagship programme.
History[edit]
In 2003, NMIMS was declared a deemed-to-be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. In 2008, the first campus opened at Kormangala which followed by a state-of-the-art campus being set-up at Bannerghatta Main Road in 2016.
Mission[edit]
To be recognized as an institution that specializes in customized and continuous learning in management, delivered in a synchronous and asynchronous mode to develop socially sensitive leaders; to emphasize analytics as a competence for finding business solutions and engage in collaborative research that influences organizations and policy making.
Vision[edit]
To inculcate the ‘learner centric’ approach in management education. To emerge as one of the best centre for executive education in the country. Further, NMIMS Bengaluru will establish Centres of Excellence in Business Analytics, Technology Management, Infrastructure Management and engage in collaborative research.”
Campus[edit]
SVKM’s NMIMS has a campus located on 8.5 acres of lush landscape at Lakshmipura Village, Kalkere P O, Jigani in Anekal Taluk and is located on Bannerghatta Road and another campus at Koramangala. Campus life is vivid and expansive with a plethora of activities and events around every corner.[2][3][4][5]
Hostel[edit]
NMIMS Bengaluru provides hostel facilities for students. The hostel is located at a distance of 4kms from the campus. There are separate blocks for ladies and men and all the rooms have fully furnished facilities.

School of Business Management (SBM)[edit]
I. Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
A two-year full-time programme. The first step in admission to the PGDM programme is through NMAT which is followed by a case-discussion round and a personal interview. Specializations offered are Marketing, Finance, Operations, Analytics and Human Resource.[6]
II. Executive PGDM (MPE)
MPE is Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management for a duration of 20 months.
III. Management Development Programs (MDP)
- Certificate Programme in Business Analytics: NMIMS Bangalore has carved out a niche by offering Analytics as a specialization for PGDM students; a first in India.
- Certificate Programme in Sales Management: NMIMS in partnership with HeadStart Education offers a Certificate Program in Sales Management- India’s first 3-month certificate program.
School of Commerce (SOC)[edit]
I. Bachelors in Business Administration: The curriculum, offers students a choice of specialization in marketing and/or finance roles in the 3rd year of their program.
II. B.Sc Finance: This is a three-year program with specialisation in Finance.
School of Economics (SOE)[edit]
B.Sc Economics: The program is a three-year program with Electives in Economics, Finance and Business Management.
Achievements[edit]
- In 2015 NMIMS Bengaluru became the youngest B-school to secure the coveted International Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) UK joining a select group of 8 B-Schools in India.[7]
- The PGDM program has been ranked 9th in Central Asia by Ed Universal, France.
- The Executive PGDM program at NMIMS – Bangalore is one of the most sought after programs of its kind and about 100 executives with an average experience of 8-9 years graduate every year from leading MNCs and large Indian companies.
Student Exchange Programme[edit]
NMIMS Bengaluru has an extensive network of partner B-schools worldwide through which it conducts student exchange programmes. Students of the flagship PGDM program can go on an exchange programme during their fifth or sixth trimester of the course. Some of the partner institutions are ESSCA France, NEOMA Business School France, HHL, Leipzig Graduate School of Management Germany.
