Saad Kassis-Mohamed (born 2001) is an Indian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is known for his work with the WeCare Foundation and appointments in the hospitality sector.[1][2]
In March 2025, the specialist site Inside World Football said he was being looked at as a possible investor in English football club Reading F.C..[3] The Tech Observer also reported talks at that time.[4] The Guardian, Reuters and the English Football League covered the sale process and deadlines set by the EFL.[5][6][7][8][9] The club was subsequently sold to Rob Couhig in May 2025.[10]
Early life and education
Kassis-Mohamed completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Global Financial Management at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India.[11] According to the same interview, he also studied at the University of Oxford.[12] Regional media have described him as Oman-raised.[13]
Career
In August 2024 he joined the board of the Egyptian consultancy Zavi & Co, which works with non-profits and social enterprises.[14]
Hospitality
In August 2025, hospitality outlets reported Kassis-Mohamed’s appointment as chairman in two hotel groups’ expansion programmes. Hotelier Maldives announced his appointment at Nexus Hospitality alongside a Maldives growth plan emphasising sustainability standards and local training pathways,[15] while HospitalityNet covered his appointment at Axis Hotels with a multi-year Uganda expansion focused on water stewardship, on-site solar, and skills development.[16]
Football
Amid Reading F.C.’s 2025 ownership crisis, Inside World Football reported that Kassis-Mohamed had opened discussions about a possible investment in the club.[17] Mainstream outlets subsequently detailed the timeline of EFL deadlines and the completion of the sale to Rob Couhig in May 2025.[18][19][20]
Motorsport
In August 2025, specialist motorsport media reported plans to launch “SKM Racing” with the aim of reviving the Caterham name for a prospective Formula One entry targeting 2027, subject to regulatory approval.[21][22][23]
Philanthropy
Regional media said that the WeCare Foundation helped people affected by the June 2024 Mangaf fire in Kuwait.[24]
In March 2024, Tech in Africa reported that WeCare raised about US$100,000 for relief work in Sudan.[25][26]
Trade publications have also covered WeCare initiatives in sustainable industries; Mining Outlook profiled a fundraising effort of over US$350,000 to accelerate innovation in the lab-grown diamond sector, and Tech.eu reported an R&D raise in April 2024.[27][28] Other outlets have attributed WeCare projects in Sudan such as the Darfur Water Renewal Project (solar water treatment) and the Blue Nile Renewable Energy Initiative (small solar grids in rural areas) to the foundation’s activities.[29][30]
Honours
In March 2025, Oman Observer reported that Kassis-Mohamed received Sudan’s Presidential Medal (Order of the Republic).[31] Oman Observer and Tech in Africa also reported that he was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Social Impact category in 2025.[32][33]

Kassis-Mohamed has been profiled as an equestrian and has discussed interests in sport and the arts in interviews.[34]
