Sabir Mammad oghlu Alasgarov (Azerbaijani: Sabir Məmməd oğlu Ələsgərov, 27 October 1936 — 20 November 2020) was an Azerbaijani announcer.[citation needed]

Biography

Sabir Alasgarov was born on 27 October 1936 in Tbilisi. In 1961, he graduated from the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature.[1]

S. Alasgarov worked at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee and was the chief announcer of the radio from 1966–1972, and of the television from 1972–1990. He also worked as the head of the announcers' department from 1990–2006. He was the host of "Khabarlar" information program, "Saadat", "Gunun Nabzi", "Safa" and other programs.[1]

Sabir Alasgarov died on 20 November 2020.[citation needed]
