Sabvest is a South Africa-based investment group.[2] The company trades publicly on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.[3] Sabvest has invested in companies in various industries, including textiles and fintech.[4][5] CEO Chris Seabrooke is also associated with Datatec[6] and holding company Brait.

Controversy

In 2018, Sabvest CEO Chris Seabrooke denied allegations of wrongdoing after Sabvest purchased shares of Brait. Since Seabrooke was both a director of Brait and a trustee and beneficiary of Sabvest, it was suggested that his use of Sabvest to purchase shares of Brait may constitute insider trading.[7]
