Sad Boy Loko otherwise known as "Mario Hernandez-Pacheco"[1] (born May 18, 1989)[2] is a rapper from Santa Barbara, California.[3]
Career
Sad Boy started freestyle rapping at the age of 13.[3] Sad Boy's I'm Still Here was the first song from which he gained traction[3]. After he was signed by YG's 4Hunnid, he released the song Gang Signs which brought him great success. In the song “Gang Signs” he admitted to hiding drugs in his cheeks. He is also featured on YG’s album Still Brazy released in 2016. The songs from the album he is featured on are Don’t come to LA and Blacks & Browns, the latter being about the struggles faced by African-Americans and Mexican-Americans. On March 30, 2018, he announced that he is going to release a new album. The first song from the new album is called Strictly Gangsta Shit which features Raskal Loko and was released on April 1, 2018.
Sad Boy, a member of a Surenos gang, was recently arrested for attempted murder, robbery, and felony assault on August 3rd, 2018, with his bail being set at $1.1 million. He is set to be arraigned on Thursday (August 16th, 2018).[4][5]
More recent reports state that the charges are connected to an LA based gang, "The Eastside Gang". Two others were also arrested recently with involvement in these crimes[6]
