Sadaf Naeem (Urdu, صدف نعیم) was a Pakistani journalist. She worked with Channel Five, a Pakistani TV Channel, as a news reporter. She had also worked as a model and TV host in different TV channels. Sadaf died on 30 October 2022 in an accident after falling from a container during PTI's Azadi March from GT Road Lahore to Kamoke, Gujranwala.[1][2]
Early life and career[edit]
Sadaf was born in Ichhra, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan and she started her career as a model on different TV shows but later she joined Khabrain Media Group as a news reporter for Channel 5.[3]
Death[edit]
She died in an accident on 30 October 2022 after falling to death.[1] She was on her live coverage duty covering Imran Khan's Azadi March.[4] While trying to cover the march in close proximity, she tried to climb the container and lost her balance, fell on ground and was ran-over by the truck.[2] She was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.[5]

On her death Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's leadership expressed shock and grief.[6] Imran Khan announced to stop his Azadi March for the day.[3] He also visited her residence in order to offer condolences to her family.[7] Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif shared condolences message with her family on Twitter[8] and announced Rs. 5 million in financial aid for her family.[9] Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi also expressed his condolences with the family and announced 5 millions in compensation.[10]
