Saffron Autumn Barker is an English vlogger and internet personality. She is best known for her YouTube channels, Saffron Barker and SaffronBarkerVlogs for which she has accumulated over 3 million followers and 600 million views. In 2019, she was a contestant on the seventeenth series of Strictly Come Dancing.[citation needed]
Early life[edit]
Barker was born in Brighton, England on 24 July 2000 to Darren and Wendy Barker. She has two brothers, Casey and Jed, and one adopted brother, Jordan.[citation needed] She attended Longhill High School and achieved a Grade C in English and Mathematics.[1]
Career[edit]
Music career and YouTube[edit]
During her early teenage years, Barker was in a girl group called Born2Blush. The group released a single called '24seven', however the group failed to reach commercial success and disbanded in 2015.[2] Shortly after, Barker created her YouTube channel. Barker's channel focuses on vlogging and beauty. She reached one million subscribers in 2017. Barker also has another account which she uses specifically for vlogging titled 'SaffronBarkerVlogs'.[citation needed]
Strictly Come Dancing[edit]
In 2019, Barker was a contestant on the seventeenth series of Strictly Come Dancing and was partnered with AJ Pritchard. Barker was the second social media star to appear on the show following Joe Sugg. She reached the tenth week of the competition before being eliminated three weeks before the final.[3]

Other projects and television[edit]
Barker has two clothing ranges with Primark. In 2020, Barker released a clothing collection with the online fashion company InTheStyle titled Saffron Barker x InTheStyle.[citation needed]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Barker, along with other internet personalities, recorded a four-hour live stream detailing how to stay upbeat during lockdown. The scheme was to raise money for the NHS.[4][5]
In March 2021, Barker appeared on The Celebrity Circle for Stand Up to Cancer. Barker played as herself. She made the final and finished as the runner-up behind Lady Leshurr.[6][7]
