Sagar Parekh (born 1 November 1998).[1] is an Indian television actor best known for portraying Lakshya Roy in Tera Yaar Hoon Main and Samar Shah in Anupamaa. Currently, he is a wild-card challenger in the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 11)[2]
Career
Parekh started his acting career with an episodic role in the fifth season of Gumrah: End of Innocence in 2016. He further did cameo roles in Fear Files, Aye Zindagi, Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India.
He made his web series debut in 2018 with the second season of ZEE5's original series Babbar Ka Tabbar, portraying Rahul.
From 2018 to 2019, he portrayed Vihaan "Lugaai" Malhotra in Internet Wala Love. He also portrayed Prateek in Rajaa Betaa in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he portrayed Shaurya Gujral in Meri Gudiya[3].
In 2021, he portrayed Madhav Jha opposite Trupti Mishra in Balika Vadhu 2 [4]. From 2021 to 2022, he portrayed Lakshya Roy opposite Neeharika Roy in Tera Yaar Hoon Main [5].
In 2022, he portrayed Yuvan in the fourth season of Voot's original web series Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan [6].
In August 2022, he replaced Paras Kalnawat as Samar Shah opposite Nishi Saxena in Anupamaa, which proved to be a turning point in his career [7]. He quit the series in October 2023 following his character's death due to the "dropping TRP and storyline shake of the show" [8].
In 2024, he paired up with Shivani Patel to participate in the 11th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a wild-card entry.
