Sahil Seth (Hindi: साहिल सेठ: born Amritsar, Punjab) is a 2011 batch Indian revenue officer currently serving as deputy commissioner of Mumbai customs.[1][2] He is also an honorary adviser of BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry,[3] an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa established in 2009.[4]

Early life and career[edit]

Sahil Seth was born in 1985 and grew up in Amritsar, Punjab. He attended primary and secondary education in Amritsar and graduated with a bachelor of technology degree in electronics and communication.[5]

Upon clearing his exam in 2011, he was delegated in customs, GST, and narcotics. In 2013 he joined Custom Dry Port in Ludhiana and was designated as Assistant Commissioner Central Excise, Jammu. In 2016 he moved to Mumbai and took charge as Deputy Commissioner Service Tax. A year later, after the launch of GST, he was posted as Deputy Commissioner GST, Bhiwandi.[3][6]
