Saif Mohammed Al Midfa (Arabic: سيف محمد المدفع‎, romanized: Saif Mohammed Al Midfa) is an entrepreneur and CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah since 2006.[2][3][4][5]

Education[edit]

He did his BA in International Business from Bournemouth University in 2000 before studying for a Masters in International Management from Phoenix University in 2008. Al-Midfa also completed a Doctorate in Management from SMC Swiss Management University in 2015.

Career[edit]

Al-Midfa started out his professional career as the Head of the International Relations Department in the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1999 to 2000. He then took over as the Regional Area Manager of ENOC from 2001 to 2004. Since 2004, Al-Midfa has been the CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, which was established in 1977 as the first exhibition facility in the UAE, and is currently the region’s leading trade exhibition venue. Expo Centre Sharjah also functions as the exhibition wing of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.[6][7][8][9][10]

Notable Positions and Memberships[edit]

Al-Midfa has held several high-ranking positions among the International Exhibitions industry. He is currently a Board Member of UFI, which is the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, as well as a member of IAEE, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.

He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences, which works closely with 21 nations in the Arab world.

Al-Midfa is also a Member of Sharjah Consultative Council and serves an advisory role with the Parliament while being the Head of the Economic, Industrial and Financial Committee/
