Saijin (祭神) is a term in Shinto used to refer to a deity or deities worshipped in a Shrine[1]it can be read as Matsuri no Kami in kunyomi.

In ancient times kami rarely had names and instead were just referred to by the name of the shrine. This only changed for the majority of kami in the 2nd millennium.[1]
