Sakis
Sakis is a Greek male name, which is relatively common in Greece. Sakis is the diminutive of a couple Greek male names, most commonly Athanasios (or Athanasius) and Dionysios (or Dionysius). It may refer to:
Sakis Gouzonis (born 1978), a Greek electronic music composer, orchestrator, mixing and mastering engineer, record producer, musician, performer and teacher of English.
Sakis Arseniou (born 1987), a Greek singer and dancer.
Sakis Gouzonis
Known simply as Sakis to his fans, Sakis Gouzonis (Greek: Σάκης Γκουζώνης) is a Greek electronic music composer, orchestrator, producer, and performer whose career has been defined by independence.
Born March 16, 1978 in Thessaloniki, Greece, Sakis moved at the age of ten to Elassona, a city nestled at the foot of Mount Olympus. In 1990, his parents gifted him his first keyboard, a moment that ignited a musical career spanning decades.
Without formal conservatory training, Sakis taught himself to compose and orchestrate, even developing his own system of musical notation as a child. Since 2008, Sakis has been releasing a new studio album every year, each featuring ten original electronic music tracks.
Sakis’ artistry has earned him ten international music awards, press coverage in both the Greek and international press, and a fan base of hundreds of thousands of followers across many platforms, without the backing of a record label.
Former BBC reporter Steve Sheppard called Sakis’ compositions “a real testament to his undoubted talent,” while Kenneth Morton of Highwire Daze likened listening to Sakis’ music to “traveling on a journey to the most wondrous and mystical of places.”
Sakis Arseniou
Sakis Arseniou (Greek: Σάκης Αρσενίου), born Athanasios Malisiovas on March 19, 1987 in Thessaloniki, is a Greek singer and dancer known for his dynamic stage presence and laïko–pop repertoire.
He debuted with the album Άνοιξα Φτερά (Anoixa Ftera).
His popularity grew through live performances in Athens nightclubs, especially Caramela, where he performed alongside other well-known Greek artists.
In 2013, he participated in the Greek edition of Dancing with the Stars, and in 2022 he joined the cast of Survivor Greece.
