Sal Calabro
Sal Calabro is a cosmetic surgeon whose practice is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]
He has operated on people who appeared on The Howard Stern Show.[2] Calabro has appeared on the show, either in person or by telephone, to discuss the work he did.
According to his web site, Calabro was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated with a pre-med degree from La Salle University. He enrolled in the University of Florence, Italy, to study the history of art. While in Italy he entered the University of Bologna, where he studied medicine. He returned to the U.S. after receiving his M.D. degree and interned at Philadelphia General Hospital, part of the University of Pennsylvania. He decided to pursue cosmetic surgery during his residency at Temple University Hospital.
After completing his residency, Calabro did a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery in New York City and attended one of the first workshops on liposuction. He has taught at an annual cosmetic surgery workshop attended by physicians from around the world.
Calabro is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. He has appeared on TV and radio programs where he discusses and demonstrates his cosmetic surgery and surgical techniques.
