Saleem Mairaj
Saleem Mairaj is a Pakistani actor who works in Pakistani cinema and television. Mairaj has played a variety of characters in his career and is mostly acclaimed for his work in cinema.
Early life
Mairaj was motivated by Sania Saeed to do theatre, after which he started his on-screen career.[1]
Career
Film
Mairaj's performance in the 2017 film Saawan was met with a mixed response from critics.[2] In 2019, for his role as a Karachi target killer in Kamal Khan's Laal Kabootar he received praise from critics.[3] In 2023, he played a villain in Nadeem Cheema's Dorr. Although the film had negative reviews from critics, his performance was appraised.[4]
Television
Mairaj made his debut on television in 1999 with the episode Afsoon Khwab of the series Ek Mohabbat Sau Afsanay, directed by Mehreen Jabbar.[5] In 2019, Mairaj was praised for his portrayal of Sultan, a caring father and a devoted worker of an actress in Umera Ahmed's written Alif.[6]
