Sam Ford is an Australian record producer and musician.
Career
Collecting over 15 years of experience in the Australian music industry, Ford has collaborated on an eclectic mix of projects – as a producer, mixer and musician. He often brings a highly polished production to the music he is involved with and is well known for his utilisation of boutique recording equipment.
In addition to his studio roles, Ford has also been heavily involved in the Perth music scene. He was the bassist for The Silents, besides writing bass parts he also contributed to the production of The Silents’ studio releases, assisting Dave Parkin at Blackbird Studio.
In 2011, Ford worked closely with Abbe May on her debut solo record Design Desire, assisting with songwriting and producing. 2013 saw May and Ford collaborate once more with the release of Kiss My Apocalypse, ultimately leading to a nomination for the 2013 ARIA Awards for Best Female Artist. Kiss My Apocalypse also received a nomination for the 2013 J Awards for Australian Album of the Year.
