Sam Maris University is a private university located in Supare Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria. Established in 2023, it is the first private university in the Akoko region.

History
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria Tomi Ologunorisa SAN was the founder of Sam Maris university He’s hailed from Supare-Akoko, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Visitor of the institution.[2] The university received provisional approval from the National Universities Commission following the the approval of Federal Executive Council.[3]
Campus
The university campus is located in Etioro-Afaa Road in Supare-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. In 2024, A former Ondo State Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi, who is an indigene of Supare-Akoko, announced plans to donate a 150-room hostel to the university campus in memory of his late wife.
Administration
The university's first Governing Council was inaugurated in 2025, with:

Academic
Sam Maris University matriculated its first 270 students on 28 February 2025. The institution offers undergraduate programs across four faculties.[4][5][6][7]
