Sam Noyer (born October 9th, 1997), is an American Football Quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes Football team. He previously played high school football at Beaverton High School in Beaverton, Oregon. He was ranked the 6th-best football recruit in Oregon, right behind Justin Herbert.[1][2] While he was offered a scholarship by Eastern Washington University, he committed to the Buffaloes on June 2nd, 2015. At Colorado, he won the starting job in 2020, his senior year, after previously planning to transfer.[3]
Early Life[edit]
Noyer was born on October 9th, 1997 in Beaverton, Oregon. In high school, he was named his team’s offensive MVP in both his junior and senior year. His sophomore year he threw for 2,384 yards, 9 interceptions and 21 passing touchdowns. In his junior year, he had 2,050 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. In addition, he had 6 rushing touchdowns. At the conclusion of his junior year, he committed to the Colorado Buffaloes. His senior year he threw for 2,801 yards and 28 touchdowns, posting 8 rushing touchdowns as well. He also played baseball and basketball in high school.[4]

2016[edit]
Sam Noyer was redshirted in his freshman year. He did, however, dress for the Alamo Bowl.
2017[edit]
Noyer played in 4 games. He failed to score, but was 13 of 27 on passing attempts.
2018[edit]
Noyer played in 5 games. He threw 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
2019[edit]
Sam Noyer was listed 3rd on the depth chart at Quarterback. He switched to Free Safety for playing time. He finished the season with 1 tackle.
2019 Offseason[edit]
After the conclusion of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season, Noyer entered the transfer portal. However, he returned to the school after former starting quarterback Steven Montez entered the 2020 NFL draft. Noyer won the starting job after a competition with Tyler Lytle.[5]
2020 season[edit]
Noyer has a perfect QB rating in the 2020 season, going 35 for 55 on passing attempts, alongside 3 passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns, and 1 interception.[6] In his first game starting at Quarterback in college, he beat the UCLA Bruins football team with a final score of 48-42.[7]
Personal life[edit]
Sam’s family has an extensive athletic background. His brother, Taylor, played baseball on the New Mexico State Aggies baseball team. His other siblings, Matt and Cassidy, both work for the Oregon Ducks football team.[citation needed]
