Sam Richter, CSP, CPAE is an American author and Hall of Fame motivational speaker.[1] He delivers keynote and workshop presentations on technology, artificial intelligence (AI), sales, and marketing to business and trade groups internationally. As chief executive officer of SBR Worldwide, LLC, he has developed AI-enabled business research tools including Sales Intel Engine, IntelLeads, SearchLink, Find5500.ai, FollowUp GPT, and the YouGotIntel platform.[2][3]
Richter is the author of Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling: Web Search Secrets for the Inside Info on Companies, Industries, and People.[4] His methods and work have been discussed in mainstream business media, including Entrepreneur and Investment Executive.[5][6]
Career
Richter received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation in 2014 from the National Speakers Association.[7] He holds a certification in executive leadership from the University of St. Thomas and a boards of directors certification from the University of St. Mary's/Caux Roundtable. Richter is a graduate of St. Louis Park High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.[8] He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism and was a two-time Scholastic All-American and four-year player and a letterwinner on the university's varsity football team.[9]
Richter began his career at Fallon McElligott Rice (now Fallon Worldwide). He later worked as an advertising writer and creative director at Twin Cities agencies before founding and selling his own firm. He subsequently served as a group director at Weber Shandwick and as an executive at Digital River, where he worked on the eBot software download program.
From the mid-2000s to the late 2000s, Richter was president of the James J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul, Minnesota. Under his leadership the library launched online programs aimed at an international audience.[10] He also served as chief marketing officer at Actifi, a financial advisory technology company.[11]
He serves on the boards of directors of Brandpoint,[12] a content marketing company, and Argos Risk,[13] a business risk insights firm. He is also on the board of Mental Health Navigators, a nonprofit community for parents of children experiencing mental health issues.[14]
