Sami Mustafa

Sami Mustafa was born in 1947. He is an educationist, with a passion to promote objectives of schooling beyond classroom instructions and good grades..[1][2].

Early Life[edit]

Born in British-India, Sami Mustafa moved to Karachi, Pakistan with his family. He has three children, and two grandchildren.

Education[edit]

Sami Mustafa obtained a BA in Philosophy, and MA in Politics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Prior to this, he had studied architecture[3] (BArch) at Texas A & M University at College Station. He has also obtained a MA in Sociology from the State University of New York at Binghamton[4]

Career[edit]

Early Career[edit]

While attending the University of California at Santa Barbara as well as while attending the State University of New York at Binghamton, Sami Mustafa taught undergraduate classes. He has also been a lecturer and assistant professor at University of Karachi, Karachi[4].

The C.A.S. School[edit]

Sami Mustafa established The C.A.S. School in Karachi in 1981[5]. He has been the Principal since[4].

Bookgroup[edit]

In 1990, Sami Mustafa established Bookgroup, a non-profit educational research organisation. He is currently the Executive Director[4][6]

Government School Reform Project[7][8][9][edit]

As the Director Programmes, Sami Mustafa initiated projects with provincial governments to demonstrate through models, how public sector schooling in Pakistan should be at par with the private sector.
