Samuel Suleman Waheed
Pinku Jee (born October 04, 1980) is a Pakistani Music Producer, Record Mix Engineer, and guitarist. Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. Samuel attended Franciscan High School in Lahore and Bachelor’s in computer sciences from S.U.D Management College. He started music in 1994 as a drummer and percussionist in school. He struggled a lot with education and music, trying to learn both at the same time due to financial issues. After schooling, he became more involved in music and started playing guitar. After several setbacks, he finally found real-world guitar teachers and learned more professionally. During his Master’s studies, he discovered digital computer recordings and began practicing different DAWs and equipment, and the rules of recording techniques.
CAREER
Early Career (1999-2006) He started recording using the DAW Cakewalk 9, then moved to WAVE Studios using his first analog gear: ADAT, Spool Recorder, Alesis HD24 with DAW SONAR 4, and Cubase SX3, SX4. He also used to create music tracks in Dance Ejay5 and Fl Studio 4 and 5. For mixing, he used Pro Tools 5 and SONAR 5 with Directx plugins.
Pro Audio Engineer
He was finally mentored by a great Mix Engineer, Raja Harrison, who taught him professional recording and mixing. Harrison inspired him to become a Professional Audio Engineer. He got his first project at Wave Studio to mix an album recorded by Sir Raja Harrison, using analog recording and mixed and mastered in SONAR 3. Harrison then moved him to a bigger place at FAROOQ Studios. There, he faced big challenges with great musicians and singers, and his real-world career began with the giants of the Music Industry. He recorded and mixed many Film soundtracks and received awards and a good market response. He also started his own studio and finished his Albums and Music Projects under Pinks Studios.
2008 Moved to Mumbai, and got a chance to work at Sangeet studios with well-known artists like Jagjit Singh, Asha, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Kailash Kher etc.
He returned to Lahore at Sachal Studios for a Mix Project and started working with them as a mix engineer. He worked at Sachal Studio for six years and traveled to Abbey Road Studios London in the UK, where he had the opportunity to work as a mixing engineer for Sachal Studios on Classic Music Albums with British professional Musicians. He attended a short Internship after finishing the project at Abbey Road Studios London. In 2014, he moved to Dubai and worked for a Multinational Pro Audio Companies as a Technical Support Engineer, providing marketing and technical solutions to clients like
AVID, SENNHEISER, NEUMANN, Electro-Voice, AVIOM, L-ACOUSTICS, Stealth Acoustics, Allen & Heath, Active audio, Greengo digital, Behringer, Dynacord, SoundDevice, Adam Audio, Genelec, Yamaha, SSL, RME, MOTU, etc. In 2016, he joined a Film Production Company Icon Art Productions in Dubai as a Music Arranger and Video Director, and completed many music video projects with various nationalities. In 2017, he moved to SIH, Sharjah University as a Music Producer and senior Audio Engineer.
