Sanjana Ganesan is an Indian TV presenter.[2] She has hosted several sports shows on Star Sports, like Indian Premier League (IPL), Indian Super League(ISL), Badminton Premier League(BPL).[3]
Early life and background[edit]
Sanjana was born in Pune.[1] She completed her graduation from Symbiosis Institute of technology, Pune (a constituent of Symbiosis International University). Her father Ganesan Ramaswamy is a Management Guru and Author while mother Dr. Sushma Ganesan is a Lawyer and Fitness Coach. She also has a younger sister, Sheetal Ganesan, who is a Dentist.[4]
Career[edit]
Sanjana started her career as a model. She won ‘Femina Officially Gorgeous’ and even participated in the Femina Miss India 2014 Pune competition[5][6] and ended up as a finalist. [7]
In 2014, Sanjana participated in the seventh season of MTV Splitsvilla, hosted by Sunny Leone and Nikhil Chinapa.[8] She was paired with Ashwini Koul, whom she also had an intimate relationship.[9] But she quit the show due to an injury. She also walked the ramp at India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) 2014 and Lakme Fashion Week in the same year.[10][11] Sanjana hosted Premier Badminton League (PBL) and ‘Dil Se India’ for Star Sports. She was also been associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders as an anchor for the team’s interactive show titled, ‘The Knight Club’.[12] She has also done shows for the Indian Super League (ISL) and hosted the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction.[13]
She has hosted several sports shows on Star Sports, including ‘Match Point’ and ‘Cheeky Singles’ during the Cricket World Cup 2019.[14]
Personal life[edit]
On 15 March 2021, Sanjana married Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.[4][15][16]
