Sanjay Rath (Odia: ସଞୟ ରଥ; born 7 August 1963 at Sambalpur, Odisha) is an Indian astrologer.[1] He comes from a traditional family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village in Puri, which trace their lineage back to Shri Achyuta Das (Acyutananda).[2]
Sanjay Rath became a graduate of mechanical engineering and joined the Government of India[3] in July 1991. He was promoted to Under Secretary in the Ministry of Defence in October 1997. Sanjay Rath resigned from government service in September 2000 to focus on Jyotisha.[citation needed]
