Sanjay Razdan is a board-certified American urologist,[1] oncologist, and principal investigator specializing in the treatment of prostate cancer and urological diseases. He is a urological robotic surgeon and has performed over 9,000 robotically assisted procedures using the Da Vinci Surgical System.[2]
Dr. Razdan is the Professor and Chairman at the International Robotic Prostatectomy Institute and the Director of the Urology Center of Excellence and Endourology and Robotic Fellowship Program at Larkin Hospital, South Miami, Florida.[3]
Dr. Razdan is now also the Program Director for the newly accredited Urology Residency Program at Larkin Palm Springs Hospital in Miami, Florida.
A pioneering researcher, scientist and oncologic surgeon, Dr. Razdan has numerous ground-breaking innovations and publication in the field of Prostate Cancer and other Urological conditions. He is the author of the first textbook solely devoted to the outcomes of robotic prostate surgery. The newest edition of this best-selling book on prostate cancer will be released in 2023.
He is the founder and President of Prostate Awareness Research and Treatment, Inc, (PART) a non-profit organization dedicated to helping educate and treat men with prostate cancer who do not have the financial resources to seek treatment.

Dr. Razdan is a qualified Doctor of Medicine (MD), Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch) and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.[3]
He attended Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, Kanpur, India and completed his internship at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey, USA.[3]
He completed his urology residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was ranked as the best graduating resident and also received the resident teacher award. Dr. Razdan also completed a Fellowship at Boston University Medical Center where he received the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award for exemplary performance. After his residency Dr Razdan completed an Advanced Fellowship in Endourology and Minimally-Invasive Urologic Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where for the second time in his career, he received the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award.[4]

Dr. Razdan was awarded the diploma of FRCS by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK for outstanding contributions to the field of urologic robotic surgery and prostate cancer in 2019.[5]
Robotic Prostatectomy and other professional activities[edit]
Dr. Razdan is a surgeon specialized in advanced minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer, Stone Disease, and Surgical Oncology. [2][4][3]
He is a Professor and Chairman at International Robotic Prostatectomy Institute.[4][2][3]
He served as Director of the Urology Center of Excellence and was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Jackson South Hospital in Miami.[6][3]
He is one of the first urological surgeons to perform salvage robotic procedures for radiation and cryo failures.[7]
In 2012 he was the first urologist in the world to use dehydrated human amniotic membrane during Robotic Radical Prostatectomy for an early return of erectile function after robotic prostate surgery; Razdan has performed over 1,500 amniotic membrane placements.[8][9][10][11]
In 2014 he pioneered the technique of Maximal Urethral Length Preservation (MULP) for early return of urinary continence after robotic prostate surgery.[12]
Dr. Razdan is the Professor and Chairman of the International Robotic Prostatectomy Institute, which is dedicated exclusively to prostate cancer treatment.[13]
Razdan is the founder of his non-profit organization “Prostate Awareness Research and Treatment" (PART, Inc) which is dedicated to helping patients with no Health Insurance. Razdan performs free surgeries on patients who did not have health insurance on a regular basis [14]
