Early life[edit]

Santadasji's life is charitamrita, childhood leela in Bamai village. The name of Santadasji's former ashram is Tarakishore Chowdhury. Santadasji's father, Shri Harkishore Chowdhury Mahasaya, was a vegetarian, a monotonous Vaishnava, Bhagavat Gautam Kshatriya was a Brahmin of the Vedic class. He used to listen to the stories of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas in the face of this grandmother and his love for the scriptures were observed in his childhood. Joy started his education at the age of one. He was very agile in nature as a child, but he was sharp-witted and talented. From this time onwards, he used to recite Sanskrit verses from his father, elders, etc. and compete with other boys in the house. He enjoyed sports like swimming, hadudu, climbing trees etc. and was a pioneer. His father punished him severely for his minor faults, so he was very afraid of his father and avoided him as much as possible.

He said that he lost his mother at the age of nine and that death was a normal plant for him. .Then Tarakishore Babu came back to Srihatta and stopped giving money to Santdasji Maharaj for the expenses for some time Sri Sri Annada Devi went to the ancestral home with her father as per the wishes of Santadasji. On one hand, the active participation in the movement and political movement of the Brahmo Samaj, on the other hand, the family unrest led to the deterioration of Santdasji's health and the loss of his studies.

Unprepared in a weak body, he somehow passed the BA exam and passed by the grace of God.After passing BA, Santdasji Maharaj tried to prepare for MA examination and Premchand Raichand Scholarship. After this, he taught in the city school established by Anand Mohan Bose in 1879 AD for the propagation of Brahmanism. In 1879 he taught at the City School established by Anand Mohan Bose. (At the request of a Brahmin friend who was active in the East, he took over the post of headmaster of Joynagar-Majilpur High school but he did not give up his determination to take the MA exam in philosophy. He worked tirelessly and read for about 15.16 hours every day. When he used to write a summary of what he read. Before starting reading, he would review the previous lesson and start a new one. Even if the progress of the lesson was less, what he was reading would be mastered. In the evenings when the brain was hot while reading, the musician used to play the tabla with his friend and teach him songs. It would cheer up the mind and make the brain feel useful to concentrate on re-reading within an hour.

Even after reading in this way, he could not finish all the examination books in time. He became acquainted with the essence of Western philosophy and began to notice that there were errors in the philosophical statements of Mill, Hamilton, etc. In this condition, he passed the MA examination in 1880 and passed the second class in philosophy. No one else passed that year in philosophy. Episode-9 Santdasji Maharaj resumed teaching in the city school after the MA examination. He was also responsible for imparting moral education to the students and focusing on character building, except for specific teaching activities. It was due to his closeness with the students and gradually his reputation and influence on the students increased due to his moral character.

After opening FA classes at City School, he was appointed professor of logic and physics. According to his father's intentions, he was admitted to Presidency College for one year and to Metropolitan College the following year. In 1883, after teaching at City College, Santadasji Maharaj started attending law classes. After taking a job in a city school, Santdaji Maharaj once went to the country during the puja holiday in 160 AD. That is why he did not go to the kitchen or the dining room of Thakur's house. He did not come home and meet his father. In 1883, Santadasji Maharaj returned to his village, Bamai village, with his wife after passing the B, L examination.

Shri Vijay Krishna Goswami, like Lord Santdasji, was an apostate from Hinduism and a Brahmin. He was invited to a meeting of the Brahmo Samaj and went to Gaya. While visiting the Akash Ganga hills in Goa, he was attracted to some of the saints, and after wearing golden garments, he continued to perform sadhana-bhajan there for some time. At this time, fortunately, a Paramahansaji came from Manas Sarobar and initiated Vijay Krishna Goswamiji. After his initiation, he returned to Calcutta as a brand new man dressed in a garment. On learning all these facts, Santadasji Maharaj thought that advocacy was an independent business and if he remained in this business, he could travel to the west as he wished and fortunately he could get the grace of a saint like Vijay Krishna Goswami.

In this hope, Santadasji Maharaj returned to Swagram Bamai village with his wife in January 1883 AD after passing the B examination. He flourished in the advocacy business at Srihatta. A few days later, Santdasji Maharaj passed BL and got the news. At this time a zamindar by the name of Sriramananda of Habiganj was accused in a fraud case and took refuge in Santdasji Maharaj. His fame spread when Santadasji Maharaj won by taking the side of the accused in two or three more complex cases in a row. When everyone advised him to practice law in Srihatta, he practised law there for 3–4 years and earned a lot of money.

Initiation[edit]

At the place of Jagannath Ghat, Gangotri, the source of the Ganges, floated in front of him and Har-Parvati, who was present in it, visited him. Lord Shankara then gave him a monosyllabic seed mantra and with the effect of chanting that mantra, he would gain Sadguru - with such an assurance they disappeared. Then the scene of that Gomukh Gangotri in the Himalayas also disappeared. He started chanting that seed mantra with great devotion. In search of a good guru, he started visiting various shrines and gradually he arrived at the Prayag Kumbh Mela with a friend. Although his interview here was with his future Gurudev Sri Sri Kathia Babaji Maharaj, he was sceptical about whether he would take him seriously. He saw some miracles of Sri Sri Kathia Babaji Maharaj but could not be complete without a doubt.

Then he went to Vrindavan in the month of Chaitra and this time he was almost disappointed to see his work from very close to Kathia Babaji Maharaj. Far from considering Sri Sri Kathia Babaji Maharaj as a Brahmajna Mahapurusha, Sri Tarakishore Babu considered him to be an ordinary old village saint. But when his miracles came to mind, he could not understand exactly what was wrong with his decision. With this sceptical mind, he returned to Calcutta. One night in Calcutta, while he was sleeping on the roof of his house, he suddenly woke up and sat up. He saw that Sri Sri Ramdas Kathiya Babaji Maharaj was coming through the sky and in a short time he came down to him on that roof. After that, Kathia Babaji Maharaj gave a mantra in his ear and left again. Sri Tara Kishore Sharma Chowdhury had no other doubts in his mind about Sri Sri Kathia Babaji Maharaj. All his hesitations were immediately dispelled and he considered himself fortunate to have taken refuge in the desired Sadguru. Even after being miraculously initiated in this way, he formally took wife initiation in Vrindavan on the day of Janmashtami in 1894.

Religious practice[edit]

One day, after the City College holiday, in the afternoon, when he went to Brahma Guru Shri Sen Mahasaya, he began to infuse energy in the body of Santdasji Maharaj by pranayama. Santadasji Maharaj and Pranayama continued to do so, on that day six chakras were separated from his Muladhara to Dwidal. In such a short period of time, there is no other difference between the six chakras. From then on, Santadasji continued to practice this practice with joy. He still regularly joined the Brahmo Samaj: continued to worship with the Brahmans. At this time his father came to Calcutta with his son-in-law and stayed with him in a house. Shri Vijay Krishna Goswami Mahasaya and after him Shri Jagatbabu. Santdasji Maharaj entered the yogi community and practised yoga for 12 years.

In that, he gained some Yoga Vibhuti, but he did not see any possibility of Brahma interview or liberation. Since then, Santadasji Maharaj has changed his mind on a number of occasions and he is gradually attracted to Hinduism and continues to seek Sadguru. After some of these incidents, Santdaji Maharaj's thoughts changed. And he was again attracted to Hinduism. Sadguru continues to search. (1) One of the great men of India miraculously appeared in the bedroom of a gentleman named Colonel Alcott in America and instructed him to come to India and put the turban of the great man's head in the bedroom to build his faith then he disappeared. Then, Mr. Alcott came to India and accidentally saw that great man in a cave in the mountains. This news struck a chord in the mind of Santdasji Maharaj and aroused respect for the great Indian Yogi.

Religious Thoughts[edit]

Sri Sri 108 The life of Swami Santdasji Kathia Babaji Maharaj is in limbo. Student life was attracted to Brahma. He was a thinker and truth seeker from his childhood. He had a special interest in theology. When he was in the first annual class, he left Hinduani and became a monotheist. He used to attend a Harisava and kirtan and during kirtan, he was very emotional and if he was touched, his father would also be quite. The Sadhana Shakti of the Santadasji acquired by the Yogi community. But he did not disclose the subject matter. He used to perform sadhana-bhajan at night. At this time, after many factions, Santdasji Maharaj took up the cause of the Pandits with the sense of duty and paternal instruction and ascended to the Hindu society.

Life story[edit]

Hearing that a friend of his named Sridvijdas was very ill in the mess of a student in the Muslim neighbourhood of Calcutta, Santdasji Maharaj went to see him. The sick friend is bedridden with feverAlthough he was very tired and dreamy, he told Santdasji Maharaj that even though he was suffering, no one in the match took care of him except his own reading, and he was about to commit suicide due to the disease. But only Bhagavata is living in peace in worship and is not feeling the tribulation. Speaking further, the friend further told Santdasji Maharaj that he had especially felt the grace of God about the meeting during this illness, which he did not realize at other times. Hearing his words, Santadasji Maharaj's thoughts changed. As a result of Bhagavachchinta, the friend does not feel the pain of the disease as pain. Many moneylenders have said before that they have found peace in the Bhagavad-gita they have felt. Santadasji Maharaj felt that his unrest was growing because of his doubts about the existence of God. Therefore, he doubted whether it was right to keep atheism in his heart.
