Santhosh Krishnan (சந்தோஷ் கிருஷ்ணன்), known as the Coimbatore Weatherman among farming and blogger communities, is an amateur weather forecaster from Coimbatore. Since childhood, he spent most of his childhood with his grandfather, helping him on his farm and learning to observe Climate variability and change patterns.[1]. He was autodidactic and started posting about his Weather Forecasts on Social Media from 2017, becoming the talk of the town and attracting thousands of followers. He was known for predicting the path of major cyclones Cyclone Gaja and Cyclone Fani well in advance.[2]
Early life
Santhosh Krishnan was born and grew up in Coimbatore district. He completed his schooling at G.R.D Public School, Coimbatore and graduated with a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology. He also completed a Master of Engineering from Kumaraguru College of Technology.[3]
