Saphan Sang Dao (Thai: สะพานแสงดาว, pronounced [sā.pʰāːn sɛ̌ːŋ dāːw]; lit: "starlight bridge") is a Thai TV mini-series that originally aired on Thai PBS from April 30 to May 1, 2022, for 2 episodes.
Synopsis[edit]
Tinnapop is a young man who chose to follow in his father's footsteps and become a sapper. While his younger brother Kongphop chose money and fame by becoming superstar singer.
The brothers quarreled because Tinnapop found that Kongphop's donation in the 2011 great flood had expired, which is something that should not be done. But Kongphop said he didn't know about it either. It was something his manager arranged for.
Tinnapop decided to leave the house and travel to the remote countryside of Chiang Mai, where he was born and all his childhood memories came back again.
Tinnapop continued his father's wish in building roads and bridges relentlessly and enters the wilderness with Kwan Khao and Tawan to assist. He had worked so hard that he fell ill with typhus without realizing it. Areeya, the youngest sister, decided to move to Chiang Mai to become a volunteer doctor to heal the villagers in the marginal villages and take care of Tinnapop.[1]
Early summer 2012 after returning from a concert tour in USA, Kongphop went to film a MV in Chiang Mai. He had an accident that fell from a height during filming that made him realize it.
