Sara A. Stires
Sara Ann Stires is an American aviator and dentist. She was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.[1][2][3]
Life
She grew up in Billings, Montana. She graduated from Billings Senior High School and the United States Naval Academy.[4] She graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 2011.[5]
She was a member of Fighter Squadron 102.[6] Her call sign was Goalie.[7] She served as a Radar Intercept Officer. In 2012, she was promoted to Lieutenant Commander.[8] In 2018, she was assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. She is a Navy Oral Surgeon and brigade medical officer at the United States Naval Academy[1][9][10]
