Sara Simmons is an American singer and songwriter, born in Clarion, Iowa, and now living in Nashville, Tennessee. Her musical roots started her out singing gospel and traditional country music. She also writes and performs her own original songs with her backup band "The Corn Pickers."[1] Although born in Iowa, she was raised in Northern Colorado; a rural farm town known more for its horses and fields than culture, it was there Sara's voice and values were steeped in the tradition of faith.  From the time she could talk Sara was singing in church and at the age of 13, Sara began playing in honky-tonks as well.[2]
