Sarah Mannering is a film producer from Montreal. She co-founded the production company [Colonelle films] with her business partners Fanny Drew and Geneviève Dulude-De Celles.

Bio[edit]

After a college degree in communication arts at Lionel-Groulx, Sarah took on studies in cinema at the École des médias, Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She met her friend and business partner Geneviève Dulude-De Celles during her bachelor's degree. She directed her final project, a short fiction entitled Le Bon Choix.[1] In 2010, she worked in France as assistant production manager at the Cannes Festival for a couple of months. Shen then joined Micro_scope as a coordinator. As of 2014, she has dedicated herself full-time to Colonelle films.

Foundation of Colonelle films (2012)[edit]

Fanny Drew, Sarah Mannering, and Geneviève Dulude-De Celles are managing Colonelle films - a film production company located in Montreal, since 2012. Colonelle specializes in independent movies.[2]

Don Haig Emerging Filmmaker Award (2018)[edit]

In 2018, Sarah Mannering and her business partner Fanny Drew received the Emerging Filmmaker documentary film award at the Toronto Hot Docs Film event.[3] The Don Haig Award is delivered every year by the Don Haig Foundation and Telefilm Canada. It highlights the originality and entrepreneurship skills of a Canadian producer on the rise with a film featured at the Hot Docs festival.

AQPM's Prix de la relève Vincent-Gabriele award (2019)[edit]

In 2019, Sarah Mannering and Fanny Drew received the distinction of the Prix des productrices de la relève Vincent-Gabriele delivered by Montreal’s AQPM.[4]
