Sarim Burney Internation Trust (Urdu: صارم برنی انٹرنیشنل ٹرسٹ) is a Pakistani non-profit welfare organization and charity in Karachi, Pakistan. The organization is known to provide welfare services including health, education and feeding the underprivileged, etc. It was established in 1990 and is headquartered at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
Background and services[edit]
The trust was established by philanthropist Sarim Burney who is the brother of Pakistani social rights activist Ansar Burney.[1][2]
The trust has taken responsibility for care of the underprivileged persons from various backgrounds. The trust also supports victims of trafficking, natural disaster, and provides shelter for women and children.[3]
The trust also has offices in United States in McKinney, Texas.[4]
The trust was targeted by a man that opened fire on the office in Karachi.[5][6]
