Saurabh Uboweja (born 5 December 1982) is the Founder and Managing Partner at BOD, a management consulting firm working with mid market enterprises.[1][2]

Career[edit]

Saurabh joined Citigroup as an investment counsellor in 2006. He left to set up his own company, Brands of Desire (BOD), in 2008.[1]

In 2018, the management consulting firm (previously a strategy led brand consultancy) won the Transform Awards Asia-Pacific 2018 for Excitel[3] in 3 categories - "Best use of copy style/tone of voice" (Gold), "Best brand development project to reflect changed mission, values or positioning" (Bronze) and "Best visual identity from the technology, media and telecommunications sector" (Bronze).[4] In 2020 BOD won again at the Transform Awards, with two gold wins for its work with Varuna Group in the Best Brand Architecture Solution category and in the Best Visual Identity from the Transport and Logistics sector.[5] The Transform Awards are organized annually by Transform magazine, a monthly trade magazine a quarterly publication that covers the transformative power of brand strategy and design.

Besides starting his own venture, Uboweja co-founded Credihealth.com, a medical assistance company in 2014 with serial entrepreneurs Ravi Virmani and Gaurav Gaggar. He presently serves as a Director of the company.[6]

He is also a founding member of the World Communication Forum Association registered as a non-profit association in Davos, Switzerland and a member of their executive committee since 2015.[7]

Uboweja is currently a Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM-BG) and teaches strategic brand management.[8]

  • October 2016: "Promising Business Communicator" under the Elite Awards category at the ABCI (Association of Business Communicators of India) 56th Annual Awards 2016[9]
  • January 2016: Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Chanakya Award for National Achievers 2016 under the category "Most Promising Young Entrepreneur of the Year"[10]
  • March 2015: "Idea of the Future Award" 2015 at the World Communication Forum in Davos[11][12]
