Biography[edit]
At the age of 18, Scarlet left New Jersey and moved to LA to follow her dreams.[1] During the beginning of her career, Scarlet worked with R&B singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger, recorded a single with rapper-producer Omen, titled "Missing You Like Crazy" that was never released. She also worked closely with DMX in 2003, who at the time, was her mentor.
Scarlet's Debut Single, Born To Fly,[2] was released in April 2019. On The Activate LA radio show, Scarlet talked about her struggles with music after having her son, Jayden Codner and dealing with depression and anxiety. She said Born To Fly was her way of escaping and breaking free from her anxiety.
In July of 2019, she released her 2nd single, Gimme a chance, a song dedicated to the Neapolitan rapper Luche,[3] where you can hear her sing in Italian during the breadown of the song.[4]
November 1, 2019, Scarlet released another single, Autumn Remind Me Of You, a neo-soul ballad accompanied by acoustic melodies.[5][6]
