Scot Cooper is a South African actor and model. He is best known for the roles in the films Girl from Nowhere, 1968 Tunnel Rats,[dubious ] Momentum and Maze Runner: The Death Cure.[1][unreliable source?]

Career[edit]

After finishing college, he worked as the lead in a Pepsi commercial for MTV Russia. He trained drama under Meisner teacher, William Esper at the Esper Studio in New York and later from the Ivana Chubbick Studio in Los Angeles.[not in citation given] Then Cooper got the opportunity to play a role in the American war film 1968 Tunnel Rats in 2008. Meanwhile, he completed his BA degree at the South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance.[2]

In 2007, he acted in the film The World Unseen.[citation needed] In 2009, he won the Best Ensemble - Golden Horn Awards at SAFTA.[citation needed] Then in 2013, he won the Best Actor award at the 48hr Film Festival Cape Town.[citation needed] In 2015, he was awarded the Best Actor at the 48hr Film Festival Cape Town.[3][better source needed]

In 2014, he co-starred in the television series Homeland of the season 4.[citation needed] Then he made a guest role in the BBC series Jamillah and Aladdin.[citation needed] He also made leading roles in the South African feature films such as Girl from Nowhere,[citation needed] and Reconnect. In 2018, he played a supportive role in Maze Runner: The Death Cure.[4][non-primary source needed][5][better source needed]

He performed as "Mr Darcy" in the play Pride And Prejudice,[citation needed] and as[who?] in the play Tape, produced by Stephen Belber.[citation needed] He then staged a one-man play titled Henry And The Sand which was premiered at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.[citation needed] As a model, Cooper appeared numerous TV commercials as well.[6][better source needed]
