He would return in 2000, where he would finish 12th in points. It was in the latter season, he would make his NASCAR Winston West Series at Irwindale Speedway, where he would finish ninth. He would make ten more starts in the next two years in the series, winning his first win in the latter season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
In 2003, he would run full schedule in the No. 08 Dodge, where he would win three races at Irwindale, Rocky Mountain Raceways and Phoenix International Raceway on route to win the championship 14 points ahead of Mike Duncan, alongside with winning Rookie of the Year honors. It was also during this year that Lynch would attempt to make his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Las Vegas, failing to qualify. He would also make two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Orleans Racing in the No. 61 Dodge, finishing 12th at Las Vegas and Homestead–Miami Speedway.
Lynch would return to the West Series in 2004, finishing fifth in points with two wins at Douglas County Speedway and Phoenix. he would officially make his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Richmond International Raceway driving the No. 6 Dodge for Tommy Baldwin Racing, where he would finish 39th due to a crash. He would return with the team at Lowe's Motor Speedway in October, but would ultimately fail to qualify. He would also make two Truck Series starts that year, first driving for Orleans Racing at Las Vegas, and then driving for HT Motorsports in the No. 59 Dodge at Phoenix. In 2005, he would finish third in the West Series standings behind Duncan and Steve Portenga with two wins at Mesa Marin Raceway and Stockton 99 Speedway. He would race in the final five races of the Truck Series schedule in the No. 62 Dodge for Orleans Racing, replacing the departing Steve Park. His best finish would be 15th in the season finale at Homestead.
In 2006, he would run for Frank Cicci Racing in the No. 34 Chevrolet at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Busch Series, finishing 43rd due to a crash on lap 12. He would also run the Truck Series race at Las Vegas, driving the No. 63 Ford for MB Motorsports, finishing 35th due to steering issues.

In 2008, Lynch would race in the first two events of the Truck Series season, finishing 16th at Daytona International Speedway and 31st at Auto Club Speedway. He would also run the Nationwide Series race the following day in the No. 90 Chevrolet for MSRP Motorsports, finishing 41st after five laps. He has not run in NASCAR since then, with his last racing appearance coming in 2011 in the USAC Western Classic Sprint Car Series event at Placerville Speedway, where he would fail to qualify.[2]
