Scott Mitic
Scott Mitic (born February 13, 1970) is a professional in the fields of consumer and credit advocacy. He is the author of a book on preventing identity theft,[1] and has been quoted in the New York Times on the subject of insurance theft.[2]

Mitic grew up in Maryland and attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada and Georgetown University in Washington DC.[citation needed] He co-founded Headlight.com, an online learning company.[3] In 2002, he became an executive at FICO, developing consumer credit score access services.[4] Mitic founded the identity theft protection company, TrustedID, in 2006.[5] That company was later acquired by Equifax.[6]
