Sd kfz 6/3

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The captured Soviet 76-mm F-22 guns were in sufficient quantities in German arsenals, so it was decided to use the SdKfz.6 to carry them as a porter, protected by a partially armored superstructure. The idea was to easily create cheap tank hunters that could assist armored forces against British tanks in the North African campaign, with an extreme shortage of anti-tank vehicles. There it joined the Panzerjäger-I, which was already based on an earlier modification of the now obsolete Panzer I,[1]

The PaK 36 (R)

Only ten were produced at that time and the vehicles, apparently immediately after their completion, were delivered to Africa, creating the 605th armored car (Division?). The unit was created for the DAK and was subordinate to the 15th Panzer Division. Originally formed on August 26, 1939, it was part of the 3rd Army. By October 1939, it was armed with an 8.8 cm Flak 18 gun.[2]
