Sean + Conor Price are an Irish pop musical duo formed in Blessington, County Wicklow, Ireland. The group is composed of the brothers Sean Price and Conor Price. Prior to performing on X-Factor, they were buskers on Dublin's Grafton Street.[citation needed]

In April 2016, the brothers released their first debut EP called 'Change' along with 4 songs in the album: Change, Never Say Goodbye, Deja Vu (Demo), Go. This album was signed to Independent Records.[citation needed]

In 2017, the brothers took their first audition on the X-Factor in Edinburgh, Scotland. They chose to sing Bob Dylan's classic 'All Along the Watchtower', with a rap during the song's chorus. The audition video on YouTube was the third most watched video in Ireland during 2017.[citation needed]

Since the X-Factor, the brothers released three singles: Be Like You, Get Lost, Quit and Go.

History

2013-2015: Grafton Street

The brothers started busking on Grafton Street at the age of 11 and 13, and it was here where they first shared some of their own songs with the crowds.[citation needed][tone]

2016: Change

On 1 April 2016, the brothers released their first ever EP, called Change, marking the beginning of the brothers' songs. This album contained: Change, Never Say Goodbye, Deja Vu (Demo) and Go. The album reached number 9 in the Irish albums chart in the same year. They signed the music to Independent Records.

2017: The X Factor UK

The brothers, aged 15 and 17, attempted to join the 2017 X Factor competition.[citation needed]

Auditions

The brothers' audition performance, of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower, including a twist; during the chorus, the brothers decided to take a burst of rap during the session.[1] The audition video had been the third most watched video in Ireland during 2017.[citation needed] The brothers advanced to the boot camp.

Bootcamp

For the bootcamp, they decided to go with a song by Bob Guadio and Peggy Farnia called Beggin' but halfway through were abruptly stopped by Simon Cowell, saying that "It was my least favourite performance" and asked to perform another song. They decided to go with Sing by Ed Sheeran which then blew away the judges, giving them the opportunity to advance to the next stage.

Six Chair Challenge

For the Six Chair Challenge they decided to pick a song called Something in the Way which then again Simon Cowell disliked, and asked for another song. They then chose Time, which then earned them the seat they needed to pass, which Simon substituted seat number 5 for them.

Judges Houses

During their time at the judge's houses they wanted to go with a song called What About Us? by Pink. Feeling confident,[citation needed] they began to sing the song, which they aced[citation needed] and gave them the clear passage to continue to the next stage.[citation needed]

Week 1

Week 1 was a big week for the boys when they first saw the stage; just a week before they were in class and now they're on the big stage.

They decided to sing the song Strong, and the judges gave them the green light to advance to the next stage.

Week 2

It's week two and the brothers went with a song by Sia called Cheap Thrills with a twist of Spanish in the song. Their take on it was loved by Louis Walsh,[citation needed] and were given the go-ahead to advance to another stage.

Week 3

Week 3 and they've chosen to go with a song called Freedom! '90 made by George Micheal. The brothers passed.

Week 4

It's the Quarter Finals and they have chosen Issues by Julia Micheals. Shortly after, they were outvoted and eliminated from the contest at 8th place.

Each reaching phenomenal heights[citation needed] in the Apple iTunes Store.[citation needed]

Over the summer, Sean and Conor Price performed a sold-out headline tour of Ireland in venues including Dublin's Vicar Street, The INEC Kilarney, Millennium Forum in Derry and Ulster Hall in Belfast.[citation needed]

In October and November,[when?] they brought their tour to the UK, shows in London and Manchester.[citation needed]

They also debut two Christmas Shows for their fans.[2]
