Sean Alvin Jones (born June 30, 1998) is a Canadian actor and singer. He is best known for playing the role of George in Orion Pictures Every Day (2018), in which he first came to public attention.[1][2][3]

Early life

Sean Jones was born on June 30, 1998 in Toronto, Canada. His mother and father both immigrated to Canada from Jamaica at a young age. In 2012, he began his secondary education at Cawthra Park Secondary School where he took part in various school productions.[4] During his time there, he began writing, directing, and performing in his own short films. This hobby of his quickly budded into his self owned production company known today as The ārtīst. In 2016 he trained with Jeff Whiting at the Open Jar Institute in New York. He later enrolled in Ryerson University's Theatre School to study for a BFA, but dropped out to focus on his career in the arts.

Career

In 2017 Sean began his acting career with uncredited roles in the television shows Orphan Black and Shadowhunters.[5] In 2018, Sean made his film debut starring in the romance movie Every Day.[6][7] He also landed a role acting opposite Michael B. Jordan in HBO's adaption of Ray Bradbury's book Fahrenheit 451,[8][9][10] which was nominated for several Emmy Awards.[11] The film had its premiere at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival,[12] it later aired on HBO. Also in 2018, his company produced and released Antithetic [13] and Rift, [14] two films he also starred in.[15]

At the end of 2018, Sean released his debut single titled Elusive.[16]

In 2019, Sean made his television debut in the third season of Netflix's Slasher.[17] His episode of appearance is described as "Another great entry in Season 3."[18]
